I am pretty sure that most people wouldn't even think about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. I have lost count of the number of times that I have heard that one. My reply is short and to the point. "I jump because they opened the door". It doesn't matter to me if there is 14,000 feet of clear air outside that door. Falling straight down at 120 MPH is just... Well... Really cool. But skydiving is not for the faint of heart. A lot of people also think that I am a couple bricks short of a full load because I have chased severe thunderstorms and tornados. As an "Amatuer Radio Operator" and a trained spotter for the National Weather Service... Well... That is one of the things we do. I guess that the least invasive hobby that I have is model rocketry. So far none of my rockets have chased me across my launch area or taken out any low flying aircraft. However... I hope that you enjoy using my webpage and once again... Kids don't try anything that you see on my webpage at home. I'm sure that your parents will thank me. |
