For the last twenty or so years I have been a trained spotter, storm chaser and Amateur Radio operator in the Memphis, TN area. I have seen first hand what the end result can be after a severe weather event. Even after seeing the effects of a strong tornado, the one thing that stands out more than anything else is the human sprit. The spark that keeps us all going and not letting these things defeat us. I rely on my faith in God and the training that I have received over the years to do the best that I can and to help where I am needed the most. Over the years I have worked side by side with a lot of amazing people that go over and beyond the call of duty. And as long as I am able, I will continue to do what I can to help people get to safety sooner. There is nothing that can be done to prevent severe weather, but there is plenty that can be done to get the warnings out quicker. That is why I chase storms, and that is why I won't stop chasing.
Oh... And I also like to build and fly mid-power model rockets and have been known to jump out of a few perfectly good aircraft (over 2,200 jumps) but that's a different story altogether.
